STAFF TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT PROCEDURE

 

 

Staff training is provided to all new and existing members of staff.

 

Each employee will receive training and appraisal which are appropriate to the work he/she will perform.

 

A job description will be provided outlining his/her responsibilities.

 

Additional training will be provided if the employee’s work is found to be unsatisfactory.

 

A new Social care worker will be provided with a minimum of 3 days induction training.  A member of staff who is suitably qualified and experienced will be appointed to supervise the new worker.

 

The appointed member of staff will always be available to be consulted while the new worker is on duty.

 

The Owner / Managers will monitor the new workers performance on at least one occasion subject to approval from the service user.

 

 

Training can be accessed through EHCS Owners and must be attended by all staff members.

 

The following training is always on going and up dated every year.

 

1. Moving and handling of patients.                    

2. Protection of vulnerable adults/children

3. Learning disability/Special needs/ challenging behaviour. / Epilepsy

4. Basic life support

5. Care Practice / reporting and recording (community)

6. Restraint

7. Dementia awareness
